Tottenham Area Guide
Tottenham is an area of north London in the London Borough of Harringay, situated 6.6 miles north east of Charing Cross, with Barnet to the west, Enfield to the north, Walthan Cross to the east and Islington and Hackney to the south. Tottenham itself is a large area incorporating the N15 and N17 postcode areas and is traditionally a working class area.
Tottenham is celebrated for its rich and cultural diversity and international character and although it boasts some of London’s cheapest properties, it does offer fantastic travel links to and around the city via overground train links which runs into Liverpool Street.
Most recently, over £1 billion of redevelopment funds have been secured as part of Harringay Council’s plans for the Tottenham Regeneration Programme.
Tottenham is of course, famous for its long celebrated footballing history with its Premier League football club which plays at White Hart Lane in the centre of the area. The area also hosts the Lee Valley Leisure Centre, the largest indoor and outdoor athletics facility serving London and the South East of England. It has been host to the Invictus games and is also open to the general public.
With the huge investment dedicated to redevelopment, whilst bordering some of North London’s most sought after areas, Tottenham features some of the most inexpensive properties making it an attractive choice for letting.
